 This item is a 100 riyal banknote issued by the Central Bank of Iran during the reign of King Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, around 1971 to 1973. In the international catalog, it is classified as Pick number P-91 and is known as the "Light Panel" type because the bank name at the top center is placed on a bright decorative panel.

 The right side of the surface features a portrait of King Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi in military uniform, with an intricate geometric pattern in the center and a watermark of the king's portrait on the left. The design is striking with its rich colors based on chestnut, purple, and olive green, and its meticulous decoration.

 The reverse side depicts the Abadan oil refinery, symbolizing Iran's modernization and oil industry. Numerous chimneys, pipes, and industrial equipment are meticulously rendered, conveying the importance of the oil industry to the Iranian economy at the time. The words "BANK MARKAZI IRAN" are inscribed at the top, and "RIALS 100" at the bottom in English.

 The banknote has a face value of 100 riyals, is made of paper, and measures approximately 150 x 73 mm. It was printed by the British securities printing company Harrison & Sons Limited.
