Egypt 2004 5 Piastre Coin, Original Mint Bag (Unopened), Mint Shield Bag, Decorative Vase, Islamic Calendar Year 1425 | GoldSilverJapan
Thank you for visiting GoldSilverJapan. This is an original, unopened mint-sealed bag of a 5 piastre coin from 2004 (1425 in the Islamic calendar), manufactured by the Egyptian Mint Authority.
A key feature of this collection is that, rather than being a single coin, it consists of multiple 5-piastre coins sealed together in a mint bag. The bag has red Arabic lettering, and numerous identical coins can be seen inside.
The coin is a 5 piastre, issued as regular currency in the Arab Republic of Egypt. One side is inscribed with the Arabic words "Arab Republic of Egypt," the face value of 5 piastres, and the years 1425 in the Islamic calendar and 2004 in the AD.
The reverse side features a decorated vase, reminiscent of traditional Egyptian culture. Despite its simple, small size, the coin offers a delightful design that combines Arabic calligraphy with distinctly Egyptian decorative elements.
Made from aluminum bronze, it has a golden appearance. It is a small coin with a diameter of 18mm and a weight of approximately 1.95g.

[Important] Regarding unopened bags from the Japan Mint
This product is sold in its original, unopened packaging, as it was sealed by the Japan Mint.
Therefore, we do not take out each coin inside the bag to check and sort its condition. As far as can be seen through the bag, there are many 5-piastre coins sealed inside, but each coin may have contact marks, small scratches, discoloration, tone variations, or dullness that occurred during manufacturing or storage.
Furthermore, "unopened bag" indicates that the bag is unopened, but does not guarantee that all coins inside are UNC (Uncertified Condition) or completely flawless. Because multiple coins are stored in direct contact with each other, bag marks or other imperfections may be present.
Please view the photos provided as a reference to see the actual bag and its contents. The bag itself may show signs of storage, such as wrinkles, scuffs, age-related deterioration, and faded printing.
This is a collector's item that can be enjoyed not only as a standalone Egyptian coin, but also as a mint shield bag that retains the original mint packaging from that time. It is also recommended for those who collect Egyptian currency, Middle Eastern and African currency, and original packaging from mints around the world.
