2007 US President Thomas Jefferson 1 Dollar Coin, Mint Mark Random

Product Description

This item is a 2007 President Thomas Jefferson one-dollar coin. It is the third in the "Presidential One-Dollar Coin Program," which introduces the coins of successive presidents in chronological order of issuance, and commemorates Thomas Jefferson, the third President of the United States.

Jefferson was a key drafter of the American Declaration of Independence and is known as one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. He served as president from 1801 to 1809, during which time he purchased the vast Louisiana Territory from France and sent the Lewis and Clark Expedition. This greatly expanded American interest in territory and the West.

The front of the coin features a portrait of Thomas Jefferson and the words "THOMAS JEFFERSON," "3rd PRESIDENT," and "1801–1809." The reverse side features the Statue of Liberty holding a torch, the country name "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," and the face value "$1."

The year of issue is "2007," the slogans "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and "IN GOD WE TRUST," and the mint mark indicating the mint are engraved on the side of the coin. This product will be delivered randomly with either the Philadelphia Mint's "P" or the Denver Mint's "D." Please note that you cannot specify or choose the mint mark.

Although it has a golden appearance, it is not a gold coin. It is made of manganese brass clad primarily composed of copper. Recommended for collectors interested in American independence history, past presidents, the Founding Fathers, the Statue of Liberty, and other related themes.
