2011 US President Andrew Johnson 1 Dollar Coin, Mint Mark Random

Product Description

This item is a 2011 Andrew Johnson Presidential $1 coin. It is the 17th in the "Presidential $1 Coin Program," which introduces the coins of successive presidents in chronological order of issuance, and commemorates Andrew Johnson, the 17th President of the United States.

Andrew Johnson became president in 1865 following the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln and served until 1869. He led the nation through the difficult period of reconstruction immediately following the Civil War, and during his tenure, events such as the Alaska Purchase had a significant impact on later American history.

The front of the coin features a left-facing portrait of Andrew Johnson, inscribed with the words "ANDREW JOHNSON," "IN GOD WE TRUST," "17th PRESIDENT," and "1865–1869." The reverse side features the Statue of Liberty holding a torch, the country name "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," and the face value "$1."

The year of issue "2011," the slogan "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and the mint mark indicating the mint are engraved on the side of the coin. This product will be delivered randomly with either the Philadelphia Mint's "P" or the Denver Mint's "D." Please note that you cannot specify or choose the mint mark.

Although it has a golden appearance, it is not a gold coin. It is made of manganese brass clad primarily composed of copper. It is recommended for collectors interested in themes such as American presidents, modern history, the Statue of Liberty, and commemorative coins from around the world.
